Ceasefire of Kisses: National Kissing Day 2023

I'd much rather be kissing you today! But, instead, you've got me in my feelings. Instead of kissing you, we're at war — a battlefield of emotions, where words are the weapons and silence, is the collateral damage. Our hearts, once entwined, now seem to stand on opposing fronts. The taste of your lips is replaced by the bitterness of misunderstandings, and the warmth of our embraces is replaced by the cold distance between us. In this conflict of emotions, I long for the ceasefire of understanding, hoping that someday, amidst the chaos, we can rediscover the peace that once flourished in the simple act of a shared kiss.
