Silenced Spirits: Unveiling the Oppression Faced by Women

Envision a world where raising your voice is forbidden, education is denied, employment is off-limits, and even making eye contact with certain individuals is prohibited. In this place, these laws dictate that if you commit such offenses, you face the prospect of imprisonment, flogging, or even more horrifyingly, death.

Regrettably, this is the reality faced by women residing in patriarchal and oppressive societies on a daily basis. To some extent, a similar struggle persists for Black individuals in the United States. A poignant example of this occurred in Dubai, where a Black woman found herself unjustly detained for the simple act of speaking out.

While it may be tempting to argue that she violated the law and thus deserves the consequences, we are aware that this "law" serves a different purpose altogether. It is an instrument wielded by scared men to assert dominance over the female spirit, driven by their own insecurities of being outshone by the power of feminine energy.

Fear and anger breed indifference toward the victimization of others, fostering hostility towards correction, change, reform, and justice. They implicate us in the creation of a society plagued by excessive injustice and inequality, where we have witnessed far too many instances of such imbalance.
