“Until you make the unconscious conscious, it will direct your life and you will call it fate.” ~Carl Gustav Jung
The theme song for the TV show, "Deep State", composed by Dan Berridge features lyrics from the Talking Heads' “Once In A Lifetime,” The music is a piece from the soundtrack of Tom Clancy's "Splinter Cell: Chaos Theory".

I love this part of the lyrics. I listened to an old NPR interview with David Byrnes and he said that the lyrics represent how "...largely unconscious we are. We operate half awake or on autopilot and end up, 'whatever', with a house and family and job and everything else, and we haven't really stopped to ask ourselves, 'How did I get here?'"
"You may find yourself
In another part of the world
In a beautiful house
With a beautiful wife
You may ask yourself
How do I work this?
This is not my beautiful house
This is not my beautiful wife
And you may ask yourself
Well,
How did I get here?"
