Love Trap

Damn. I knew this would happen. As soon as I said it. As soon as I said, “I love you”, I’d lose you. I knew this would happen.

Just as sure as I let you in, My devotion you’d take for granted. I knew this would happen.

Telling myself, “don’t fall for it. Love is a trap”. But, I look at you and only see love’s light. I forgot about the rest; the painful, ugly side of love. Damn. I knew this would happen.

A source of my anxiety My deepest fears come true Going through life without you Damn. I knew this would happen.

Don’t let it happen. Don’t want to go through life without you.
