Sometimes we have silly dreams, insightful dreams, lucid dreams, or even nightmares. This week, I’ve had several whimsical beautiful, or thought-provoking dreams. In my effort to live a more transparent life, I’ve decided to share a couple of them with you. Here’s an account of a beautiful one.
Vivid Dreams
I had the oddest dream last night. Odd for two reasons: 1) one of the main characters was a friend that I haven’t seen in years. we’ll call him Romero: 2) the plot of the dream was not very cohesive it skipped around.
Romero had been married and divorced 4 times with 5 children and he was on a mission to make me his 5th wife, with Kim’s help. (Kim – a childhood friend) Romero was following me all over the planet. I say planet because the scenes went quickly from one to the next. There were amusement parks, beaches, metropolitan cities, countryside, and famous landmarks like the 🗼 Eiffel Tower, Taj Mahal, even volcanoes.
Kim appeared to be posing as Romero’s nanny and had befriended me. She’d talk him up to me and try to set me up on dates with him. I kept refusing. But, never did I appear upset or agitated in any way. Romero world often appears, seemingly out of thin air, wherever Kim and I were and would ask to join us. The last encounter before waking up was extremely vivid.
We were all at a Cafe. Romero told us that a friend of his was getting married and he needed Kim to be there to keep an eye on the children. He noted that I was welcome to join as a guest. Before leaving the cafe, he told us that the invite called for guests to wear all-white attire.
Fast forward to the wedding day. Kim and I left to go to the wedding, both wearing all white as instructed. We arrived at a building that appeared to be a chapel. But, when we opened the doors, we stepped directly onto a beach. Once arrived I noticed that Kim and I were the last people to attempt to take our seats. There appeared to be nowhere for us to sit unless we walked towards the front down the aisle. So, we did.
Now it gets more interesting. Kim began to walk towards the front but turned to me and stated, “don’t be upset. he loves you”. I was confused but didn’t think much of it as Kim is a bit odd. She went ahead of me because I was nervous as attention was on us. As she walked down the aisle her attire changed colors to a bright yellow with accents of blues – more turquoise like – and orange. I thought whoa that’s cool, I wonder what color my dress will change.
I began to walk down the aisle but, my dress didn’t change colors. As I got closer to the end of the aisle, I noticed that Kim didn’t sit down but was standing at the altar with Romero and the officiant who was none other than BRIAN (another childhood friend of mine). I’m nearly halfway down the aisle and I see the three of them – Brian, Kim, and Romero – turned to me and they held a sign that read, “surprise, it’s your wedding”.
As beautiful as the entire scene, I didn’t recognize anyone in the audience and as I walked the rest of the way down the aisle and I approached Romero I saw that it was no longer him. In fact, the person’s face was totally blurry and I could no longer see his face clearly. I stopped walking and took a deep breath.
Suddenly, I was on another beach walking hand-in-hand with a man – a different man that I didn’t recognize. It was a majestic scene. The sand was covered in yellow flower petals as white petals also fell from the sky. We walked at a casual pace towards a canopy also covered in orange and light blue flowers. Occasionally, we’d glance at each other and smile. We finally reached the canopy, still holding hands. We turned to face each other. He spoke to me. Have faith, he said and his face disappeared. I gasped, dropped his hand, and stepped backward. As I stepped backward, I fell into a bed white feathers. Then, I woke up!😳
Only, I didn’t wake up in real life. I knew it was a dream because I woke up next to him, my beloved! We were surrounded by glass walls overlooking turquoise-colored water. My love turned to me and grabbed my face, kissed me softly, and whispered, “it’s okay honey. I’m here. I’m always here for you.” I smiled and wrapped myself in his arms. Then, I woke up in my own bed.
Apparently, it was a dream within a dream!
