Many times, we can see and call out everything we aren’t with ease and struggle to see the good things. We are learning the practice of celebrating people and things around us. Central to all of that, is us. Today, I turn my heart toward gratitude for myself and my uniqueness- physically, spiritually, emotionally.

The things that are my strengths are easy to celebrate and it's a bigger stretch to celebrate my weaknesses. But, both are a part of my "perfectly imperfect" self! Today, I'm choosing to celebrate my short temper. Now obviously, I'm not celebrating that it's a great thing, but rather I'm celebrating my awareness of such a weakness and my ability to recognize it. Recognizing my short temper has forced me to actively and conscientiously work to not be short-tempered. Sure, I don't always succeed. But, I've certainly made great strides in having alternate reactions to things that may anger me. In addition to the progress that I've made in managing my anger, I've found myself in the position to actively make amends and sincerely apologize to those who have been victims of my short temper.
It is in those actions that I can celebrate the awareness of my shortcoming and show gratitude in my ability to course correct!
